The Rainbow Hero Cape will make any little girl feel super! My daughter, Kyla, named this one because it makes her feel like a superhero. The pattern is easy to memorize, so once you have a few rows done, you can just pick it up any time and get crocheting without having to follow along with the pattern. You can make it as long or short as you want, but with the 3 skeins of Think Bamboo yarn you will get a 13″ long cape. Then just add a few buttons and you’re good to go!

That is really pretty Jess.
Thank you, Mom!
Do you think this can be enlarged to fit an adult ,it would make a beautiful bed jacket
Sure, just chain enough to start with row 2 or 3, and then start with row 2 or 3 instead of row 1, that will make the neck larger. Then you just continue the pattern as long as you need it!
Thank you, just love this, can’t wait to try it!
Thank you for this free pattern, much appreciated, I can see this as a go to pattern as one gets tired of the old poncho.
Love the looks of this and I am going to try it for myself. Thanks for the reply on how to enlarge for an adult. Really looking forward to starting this as it is getting colder. Thanks again.
Any chance there is a knit version?
No, there’s not, but I’ll put it in my requests list. 🙂
Firstly, thank you for the free pattern. I know it’s not a simple task.
Like others, I’m making this for an adult. I noticed that you used DK, so I’m using the pattern as is with a worsted weight and a larger hook.
Second, there appears to be a minor omission. In round 5 it isn’t mentioned to skip the 2 center stitches of the V. Not sure if the page can be edited, but just in case it can. Thanks again!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it.
The skip 2 is in Row 5 after the marker is placed, it’s easy to not see it there. 🙂
