The Julia Shawl was designed for Frabjous Fibers and Yarnbox. It’s a variation of my Juliette Shawl. There were a few things I wanted to do differently with that pattern after feedback from crocheters, so I was quite happy when I was asked to come up with a new version for Yarnbox. I really love the finished pattern for this one!!

Size:
24″ long

Yarn:
Frabjous Fibers Mad Hatter (Sport Weight) One 4 oz skein: Color A (medium blue)
Frabjous Fibers Mad Hatter (Sport Weight) Three 1 oz mini skeins: Color B (yellow), Color C (light blue), Color D (dark blue)

Hook:
US H/8/5 mm

Gauge:
16 sts x 9 rows = 4″ in dc

Stitches and Skills used:
ch ~ chain
sl st ~ slip stitch
sc ~ single crochet
dc ~ double crochet
st(s) ~ stitch(es)
sp(s) ~ space(s)

Getting Started:

There is a ch-2 space at the point in the center front of each row. This is referred to as the point in several places within the pattern.

There are stitch count notes at the end of each row in {brackets}. These do not always give the count for every single stitch in the row/round, but they do give the count in such a way that they should help you check to see if you have completed the row/round correctly. For the stitch count, (dc, ch 1, dc) counts as 1 v-stitch.
