A while back I was approached by Red Heart to make a throw with snowflake squares. Well, I thought that could be fun, and it turns out I wasn’t the only one. The Snowflake Throw is the January Featured Throw, and it is quite popular!
Isn’t that nifty? To add to the niftyness, guess who the Featured Designer is this month?
Neat!
So, back to the point…
Last week Red Heart had another request for me: could I make some videos to help out those making the Snowflake Throw? Let’s be honest, there is a reason for the intermediate rating on the pattern. However, if you just take it one row at a time, I do believe most crocheters can create this fun throw!
So, to help you all out, here are a videos for both of the squares used in the Snowflake Throw pattern. You can find the pattern itself here. Enjoy, and stay warm!

Wow! Thanks for posting these! I have been working on this for a couple weeks now (saw it on the RH blog) and I am finally to the popcorn edging. It is a great pattern, even with all the darn SCs that I had to recount a grazbillion times. Lol. Seriously, I am loving this! I didn’t think I would be able to do this, I had never worked with two strands at once, but I felt pretty confident with your directions. Thank you!!!
