Nearly 5 years after creating the Flower to Hexagon Granny pattern ~ my first pattern I shared with you ~ it is still my most popular! So I thought it was about time I made a video and a chart to go along with the pattern, as both have been requested several times through the years.

I actually made a few videos. The first and second can be found here and are for the first 3 rounds that create the flower, and then another for the optional dimensional flower added to the center. This post has all the instruction for getting from the flower to finishing the hexagon. To join the motifs, I recommend the Granny~Join~as~You~Go technique.

For the written pattern along with step~by~step photos, see this post.

The samples seen in this post were made with Lion Brand Heartland yarn (which is made in the USA), and a 6.o0 mm/US J crochet hook.

The stitches used in this pattern are:
ch ~ chain
hdc ~ half double crochet
dc ~ double crochet
dc cl ~ double crochet cluster

This video will show you the main flower, and includes some designer tips not in the written pattern:

And here is a chart that shows the full hexagon.

Ready to join those hexagons? See this post to learn the Join~as~You~go method for grannies!
