Fun with Fujifilm instax® and watercolors – free tutorial!

Hello again my friends! I hope this post finds you well. Last month I shared about the opening of the Fujifilm Wonder Photo Shop with you, and some of the awesome products and DIYs that you will find there. This week I want to share a project with you that I made with my instax® photos, some watercolors, and some washi tape.

First – did any of you make it to the grand opening? I was visiting family out of state, but if you made it there, I would love to hear about your visit. I still plan on taking a trip into The City to visit. I want to see all the cameras, and get some great DIY ideas.

Guess what happens today, July 22nd? The first Fujifilm Wonder Photo Shop in North America will open in NYC! The Fujifilm Wonder Photo Shop is part retail store, part print center, and part interactive workshop. New~To~Me Camera!

I have a new~to~me camera!!! It is a gently used Nikon CoolPix P510 that I bought from my awesome friend (and crochet mom) Kim. It arrived on Friday and I immediately ran around the house snapping pictures of EVERYTHING! I’m having way too much fun, and I haven’t even gotten to reading the manual yet. Imagine the fun that will happen then!!

So, here are some of the camera test photos, along with a little about our weekend.

As I said, I started out by running around the house snapping pictures of everything. Mostly I took pictures that I knew would have not worked so well in the past, just to see how the new camera could handle a challenge.

Daisy chaos and camera news

Last night was our first Daisy meeting of the year. Upon turning in our room request schedule for the meetings at the school, we discovered that the policies had changed and we needed 40 days notice to request a room.
