Rhinebeck 2014!

What a fabulous weekend!! I spent all day Sunday at the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival. I’ll tell you about that in a moment, but first I want to share a photo from Saturday.

Doug’s birthday was on Thursday, but the girls only got to see him for an hour. They wanted to really celebrate his birthday, so we had a Daddy’s Birthday Day on Saturday. We went out for frozen yogurt, to a movie, then out to dinner. The girls love those coloring mats at the restaurants!

Sunday morning I got up bright and early and drove into the City to pick up my friend Claire (we’re both admins for the Knitting Facebook group) and 2 of her friends. It was the first time I have met Claire in person, and she was as fabulous as I thought she would be! Then it was a nearly 2 hour drive up to Rhinebeck.

The Seventh Birthday Retro Party (and some other stuff)

The girls turned 7 on Sunday. I have some snaps to share with you to show our festivities. Plus a little bit of yarnie stuff at the end of the post. 🙂 I think this was the day before their birthday. Look for the good

I am focusing on the good right now. So let’s start with this. Kyla and Vada have made their Red Heart debut! They both helped me with some kid craft patterns Red Heart hired me to create for them, and we had so much fun. Attack of the Girl Scout Cookies 2014!

Well, it’s that time of year again! My house has been overrun by Girl Scout cookies! We picked up our 1248 packages (in 104 boxes) of Girl Scout Cookies on Sunday afternoon. We stacked them all in my dining room…and my living room, by kind. We sorted the first girl’s cookies before I remembered to snap some photos.
