I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already. It seems like I just can’t fit enough into the days! Well, here we have a bit of my Wips, and some finished objects as well.

More-Ruffle-Scarves

I have made a few more ruffle scarves for street fair season.

Max-Hats-for-Damian

I have been working on red and black Max hats for my friend who wants to put them in his dojo gift shop.

More-Spa-Sets!

Lots of spa sets being made. I plan on releasing the last pattern tomorrow or the next day.

Working on Spa Sets

A few days after that I should put up a post with links to all of the spa set patterns.

Hanging-Bath-Poufs

I have been having fun hanging the bath poufs everywhere!

To-Go-Cup-Cozy

I am thinking of making a bunch of these to go cup cozies for street fair sales.

Working-on-left-sleeve-of-Kat-Coat

I have finally finished the sleeves and collar on my Kat coat.

Top-Half-of-Kat-Coat-without-Hood

Now it just needs a zipper, and a hood, and a skirt, and a belt, and some pockets. But it’s getting there!

Plastic-Lizard

Vada seems to have acquired this little plastic lizard, I think it was in a goodie bag from a classmate’s birthday. Vada says she keeps it to look at when she wants to remember Princess. Did I tell you Princess died a few weeks ago? She had a long life for a little lizard. The girls handled it very well.

Very-Cool

I will leave you with this cool picture. I believe it is actually fabric covering this chair and ottoman, but it sure is cool and yarnie~looking!

Well, I should get this posted before it isn’t Wednesday anymore!

Well, it’s Wednesday again. That means it’s time for me to share what I have been up to for the past week. As the girl’s vacation wrapped up, Doug and I made a cover for the radiator in the back corner of the playroom. I wanted them to be able to sit and read and have a place to lean against.

Girl's-Radiator-Cover

We made the cover out of scraps of lumber found in our garage. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but it works. The girls were very happy to have a little reading nook.

Girl's-Reading-Nook

Sunday was an InsaniTea day! I wasn’t sure if I was going to make more rainbow bracelets, or if I was going to work on the never ending  K1P1 scarf.

InsaniTea-Yarn-Day

The scarf won out. Knit one. Purl one. Knit one. Purl one. I was actually quite happy when a friend I hadn’t seen in several months showed up! It was so nice to catch up.

Knitting-at-InsaniTea

I have been working on the adult version of the Kat coat. Here it is ready for sleeves. And a collar. And a hood. And a skirt. And maybe a pocket or two. Oh, and a belt and zipper. OK, so it’s only just started…

Adult-Kat-Ready-for-Sleeves

The pattern includes a variety of sleeve options. Fitted, straight, flared, belled, reg length, mitt length… Mine has a straight sleeve, mitt length, with a thumb hole.

Progress is being made! I hope to have the other sleeve and maybe the collar by the next WiP Wednesday.

Yesterday I had to go to the laundry mat. We are hoping to have our new (to us) machine here in a week or two. I’ll be glad to be washing laundry at home again. While at the laundry mat, I worked on another sample for my next skirt pattern.

Knitting-at-the-Laundry-Mat

I have been working on the head forms I told you about. I now have 3 infant size forms. They are all about 15″ around. I ended up using a 4.5mm hook to get the 15 1/2″ I wanted for my fitting form. I will use the front one here for fitting patterns and photos, and use the other two for displaying hats at InsaniTea and craft /street fairs.

Today I have been working on my Spa sets. Here are a few bath poufs, and mitts. I should be posting the pattern for the mitt in the next day or two.

Spa-Sets-in-Progress

I have also been making a few ruffle scarves. I made some with this pattern, and I made some just by single crochet 4, ch1, turn repeat.

I should get back to spa sets. Have a nice evening!

I think it is time for a new tradition…WiP Wednesday (that’s Work in Progress for those of you wondering.) I tend to spend most of my Wednesdays with hook or needle in hand, or typing up new patterns, so I may as well share the progress with you each Wednesday evening.

WiP-Wednesday-with-JessieAtHome-Spa-Set-Patterns

I have been working on a set of patterns for spa~style items to sell at craft fairs. I posted the first pattern today. I have been hooking away creating the rest of the patterns. I may even translate some of them over to knit patterns as well!

WiP-Wednesday-with-JessieAtHome-lot-o-math

Lots of math in the past few days. I think I have finally gotten the sizing down. My, it is head spinning to make a coat pattern that sizes from XS to 5X!

WiP-Wednesday-with-JessieAtHome-still-Katting-away

As you can see, I have made it to the armpits of the Kat coat pattern. I am happy with the progress.

WiP-Wednesday-with-JessieAtHome-K1P1-forever

Then there is this. Knit one, Purl one, Knit one, Purl one…forever. It is a scarf for a friend’s husband, and it is taking…well…forever.

WiP-Wednesday-with-JessieAtHome-pasta-dinner

The girls and I had a nice pasta dinner thanks to the crock pot. Mmmm. There was a time that I thought making sauce in the crock pot was a sin, but it still tastes great and is so easy!

WiP-Wednesday-with-JessieAtHome-3-2-1-cake

We also had some mini 3~2~1~cakes. So very simple! Take a box of Angel Food cake mix, and a box of another kind of cake mix (I used Devil’s food for this one, it just seemed right somehow.) Pour them together and mix them up well. Store in an airtight container. Put 3T of mix into a mug, then add in 2T of water, stir well, place in microwave and zap it for 1 minute. 3~2~1~Cake! I then dumped them onto plates and topped them with some Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter, and some Nutella. Yummy goodness!

WiP-Wednesday-with-JessieAtHome-First-Attempt-at-Head-Form

The Head Form Adventures have begun. I made the first one. After swatching I found that a 4.00mm hook gave me the right gauge for the newborn size. However, after making it I found that it was closer to the infant size. I guess I will try again with a size larger needle to make the infant form, and a size smaller to make the newborn. Well, I did say it was going to be an adventure!

WiP-Wednesday-with-JessieAtHome-head-form-weight

I made a little sack full of rice to put in the bottom of the head form to give it some weight. Aquarium gravel would work as well, and won’t expand if you get it wet.

Well, the girls are tucked in, we have screamed “I love you, bye!” across the house at each other for several minutes, as is the tradition, and I am debating my next pot of tea. I think I will mix some lemon and ginger teas, and work on my Kat coat for the rest of the evening.

Talk to you soon, my friends!
