Getting Started:
The Boutique Fur yarn can be a challenge to work with due to all the fur. Just take your time.
It is important to use the long tail cast on so that the trim ends up the right size, if you are unsure how to do so, check out this video.

To make i~cord: move 3 sts onto a double point needle, * do not turn, slide sts to left end of needle, K1, pull yarn tight, K2, repeat from * to desired length.
If you would like to replace the i~cord with a crochet chain, that would work as well.

I don’t see in the pattern where the boutique fur is used for anything other than casting on, yet the photo shows a fairly wide band of fur at the base of the hat. Am I missing something?

I used the long tail cast on and that’s how big it ended up. The pattern is right.
