Hat Brim (all sizes) begin working in ROWS
Row 1: K all
Repeat row 1: 9 (12, 14) more times.
Bind off all stitches.
Cut 6 strands of yarn each 36″ long, thread them through one of the points of the hat band so the ends are even. Braid and tie end leaving tassels. Repeat on other point.
Use starting tail to sew hole at top of hat shut. Weave in ends. Make a large tassel but do NOT clip ends, and add to top of hat.
To make tassel – wrap yarn around your hand or a cell phone about 30 to 40 times. Tie a string tightly around loop when it is open (not closed like for a pom pom). Use the ends of the tie to attach it to the hat.
