Getting Started:
When adding the Sashay yarn, work through the top most FULL hole – not the half hole – this means there will be 2 threads caught in your work, not just one. The Sashay is added by inserting the hook through the top hole at the same time as the hook is inserted into the next st, this is only done with the dc, the Sashay is NOT connected to the chain stitches. Work one hole in the Sashay per stitch, do not skip holes.
Instead of weaving in ends of Sashay yarn, sometimes it’s easier to sew the ends with sewing thread and needle.

I am a big lady…..how can I enlarge this pattern.
It is so pretty. I have a winter wedding to attend and this would be so pretty with my dress.
Start with more stitches, and then add as many increases as needed to fill in the new size.
thank you so much for this, perfect pattern for me to whip up for the cancer patients at the hospital who do get cold
I have tried this and I cannot come up with the number of stitches as in your instructions, unless I am misreading the directions. Am I missing something? I have 122 fdc’s so I got that part. I am at a loss.
At what point is your count off? You have the 122 fdc. Next you ch 3 which counts as the first st, then you skip one and work in the next st, so that takes care of the first 3 of the 122 sts, then you repeat a section that’s worked over 3 sts until there’s 2 left, so we’re still at a multiple of 3. 120 is a multiple of 3, leaving 2 sts left.
I didn’t re-check all the row counts after that, because I don’t know where you are stuck. If it’s after Row 2, please let me know and I’ll re-check it.
How many stitches do you start out with? Only have first row not starting number of stitches.
fdc 122 = foundation double crochet 122.
If you don’t want to do a fdc, you can ch 124, dc in 4th ch from hook (the 3 skipped chs count as the first dc), dc in each remaining ch. This will give you 122 dc.
I just found your pattern for the Sashay Caplet and would love to try it. Both yarns are discontinued. Do you have any suggestions to use in place of them?
Not at this point, it’s on my list of patterns that need yarn subs. However, yarnsub.com may have some ideas.
