A book review and giveaway of Val Pierce’s book Crocheted Baby Shoes: 20 to Crochet
The book reviewed in this post was provided by Search Press.
Crocheted Baby Shoes: 20 to Crochet, features twenty of the cutest baby shoes, booties, and sandals you have ever seen. Val Pierce has created a great selection of patterns to choose from for the newest little one in your life!
Val starts her book off with a short introduction, and then goes onto an informative section of crochet how-to. There is an explanation of US vs UK crochet terms and how they work in the book, yarn and hook suggestions, health and safety for the shoes, and a list of both US and UK crochet abbreviations. There is also a section on fit and on the shoe soles.
Now it’s time for the 20 adorable patterns. There is everything from pom pom booties, to animal shoes, to cute sandals, all in a range of colors, styles, and sizes.
The patterns are clearly written and easy to follow. They should be doable for a confident beginner or higher. Just trust the patterns and all should go well.
I found this book full of beautiful baby shoes that will be appealing to a variety of people in a variety of seasons. The patterns are easy to follow and create wonderful gifts. You can get your hands on a copy of this book from Amazon, HERE.
