Falling Blocks takes this popular stitch pattern and expands it to so much more. Jessie uses the stitch to make wraps, shawls, and ponchos of various shapes. With increases and decreases she is able to create triangles, semi-circles, wedges, and more. There is a tutorial for how to work the falling blocks stitch pattern at the beginning of the book. Grab your yarn and start dropping some blocks off you hooks today!

All of the patterns in this eBook with the exception of Cascade can be found as part of your Mainly Crochet membership. Cascade can be found for free on the internet only at https://jessieathome.com/cascade/. All the patterns in this eBook are made using the Falling Blocks stitch pattern.

Here are the 4 patterns included in the Falling Blocks eBook which can be purchased from Raverly, Craftsy, or Etsy.

The Falling Blocks Shawl is a large triangular shawl that is great for the holiday season. Make it as shown for Halloween and fall, or change up the colors of the Red Heart Reflective yarn to make it work for Christmas or other holidays. Shine bright in flash photos with this yarn and pattern!

The Romance Wrap is the perfect way to show off the beauty of Red Heart Boutique Magical yarn. This wrap creatively uses increases within the Falling Blocks stitch pattern to make a semi-circular shape. The cape can be made with 3 skeins of yarn as it is seen in the samples, and the pattern also includes additional rows (which will take additional yarn) to make the cape even longer.

The Falling Blocks Poncho is a great Mommy and Me accessory. With 2 points on the poncho, it can be worn with the points on the sides, or in the more traditional front and back. Choose  5 or 7 of your favorite colors of Lion Brand Heartland yarn to create your own Falling Blocks Poncho.

Cascade is the last pattern in the falling blocks collection, and the only one that can be found free on my blog. It is a wrap made in a wedge shape, which happens to be one of my favorite shapes to make. I just love the asymmetry of it! This pattern can be a bit challenging to start, but once you get the hang of it you will plow right along!

Purchase the Falling Blocks eBook on Ravelry, Craftsy, or Etsy.
