Family Bonds are amazing. Nearly two years ago some dear friends of mine grew their family by bringing an amazing baby girl home from the hospital and becoming her foster parents. A couple week ago they were finally able to adopt her. Facebook immediately blew up with pictures and stories of their loving family. So today I thought I would celebrate a bit more by sharing some free crochet patterns that show off family bonds.

Here are the names and links to seven free family bond crochet patterns.

1) Family Bear Beanie by Traverse Bay Crochet
Sorry, this pattern has been discontinued since the posting of this round up.

2) Amigurumi Otter Family by Spin a Yarn Crochet
“Have you ever seen pictures of a mother sea otter embracing her fuzzy little otter pup as they float along? It’s one of the sweetest displays of parent-baby affection in the animal kingdom.”

3) Mommy Hold My Hand Mitten by Oombawka Crochet
“This mitten is my solution to a huge problem I experienced when going anywhere with my son last winter.”

4) Vines and Twigs Beanie by Jessie At Home
“The Vines & Twigs Beanie is the last in the Vines & Twigs series of patterns. You can also find the Scarf and the Slouch Hat to make a Vines & Twigs set for the whole family!”

5) Cozy Chicken Family by Yarn Plaza
“Vary with different yarns and make your very own chicken family! Do you want two little chicks or are you making a whole brood?”

6) The Traveling Tu Family by Doris Yu
“Mommy and Daddy bunny enjoy long strolls through Easter Egg Fields. Big Brother and Baby Sister Bunny are a little rascally at heart, and love playing hide and seek inside of Easter Eggs.”

7) Quick and Easy Slipper Socks by Eye Love Knots
This includes Toddler and Big Kids sizes, there are links to adult sized patterns as well. They are a great stashbusting project, and worked in purely half double crochets throughout.
