This easy clover pattern can be made with just about any yarn and the coordinating hook. You can make bigger clovers for bunting or coasters, and smaller clovers for pins or appliques. You can make a variety for confetti on you table for a St. Patrick’s Day get-together. There are so many options, just have fun with them.

Stitches and Abbreviations:
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)
Pattern:
Rnd 1: Ch 4, join with a sl st to form a loop, ch 2 (does not count as a st), [dc, ch 4, dc] in loop 4 times, join with a sl st to top of first dc. – {8 dc}
Rnd 2: *(sc, 2 hdc, 5 dc, 2 hdc, sc) in ch-4 sp, ch; repeat from * 4 times. – {11 sts in each leaf}
Rnd 3: Ch 1, [sl st in next sc, sc in next 2 hdc, 3 sc in each of next 5 dc, sc in next 2 hdc, sl st in next sc] 4 times, ch 7, turn, ch in 2nd ch from hook and each remaining ch, sl st to first sc. – {41 sts around each leaf}
Clip yarn and weave in ends.

Just copied out by hand the four leaf clover shown but don’t see how the pictured clovers got their ste ms that look like i-cord.
It’s in the pattern, it’s a chain that you then sl st into.
