This is a quick and simple crochet heart that has many uses. I like to sew them onto a piece of felt to make coasters. I use a sewing machine and stitch along the sc boarder. They can also be used as decorations on hats, scarves, skirts, purses, or whatever makes you happy!

Just about any works! Just use the hook to match. This sample was made with Red Heart Super Saver.

Sample was made with 4.5mm (US7) hook, but use the size hook that works with the yarn you choose.

Other Notions:
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Stitches and Abbreviations used:
sl st ~ slip stitch
ch ~ chain
sc ~ single crochet
dc ~ double crochet
tc ~ treble crochet
rnd ~ round
beg ~ beginning
sp ~ space

Rnd 1: ch4, (3dc in center ring, ch2) three times, 2dc, sl st to 2nd ch of beg ch2, clip yarn but do not end off

Rnd 2: switch to second color and sl st into ch sp, ch4, 3dc in same ch sp, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) in next ch sp 3 times, 2dc in first ch sp, sl st to 2nd ch of beg ch2

Top bumps: * sl st into ch sp, skip 3dc, 9tc in space between 3dc clusters, repeat from *, sl st into ch sp with third color, clip second color yarn

Rnd 3: sc in next 6dc, 3sc in ch sp, sc in next 6dc, 2sc in each of next 9tc, sc over sl st, 2sc in each of next 9tc, sl st to top of first sc, clip yarn and end off
