How is it after 4 already?

Ever have one of those days? I can look back and see I did a lot, but I still feel like I got nothing done. I want to have everything I have already made posted in my Etsy shop, I want to release my next pattern (it just needs a few photos added in, and the cover page finished), I want to finish the small pile of sale items I have that need to be finished, and I want to get all that into my stop as well. I want to do all this by this weekend, when I will be spending Sunday at a friend’s studio selling items there.

Yet so far today I have gotten none of that done. At least yesterday I made a case for my patterns.

It’s made from an old fruit crate that a neighbor had put on the curb to go out with the garbage.

I also did manage to get about 1/3 of my medieval style aprons in my Etsy shop. I still have a ways to go on that, though.

Yesterday evening we had a bit of a science lesson here.

Those balloons are not up there from helium.

I showed the girls how to make them stick.

This morning Vada showed off her new bed head.

We drove to school this morning because it was raining, and when I got back to the car after dropping them off, I noticed I had a flat. So, off to Pete’s I went (luckily Pete’s is only a few blocks from the school, and just around the corner from my house.)

I walked in, “Pete, I have a flat.”
“Everyone is here this morning. Where are you going?” (there were a lot of people trying to pick up there cars this morning)
“Exit 135 of the parkway”
*sigh* “Give me the keys and go home, if it’s that flat, I should look at it to see if there’s a leak. Come back in half an hour.” He may seem like a grouch, but he’s really a great guy.

I walked the minute walk back home. OK maybe a minute and a half. I managed to get the dishwasher loaded and going and did a bit of cleaning, then back to Pete for my car.

He couldn’t find anything wrong with the tire. He said they were all low, and it is possible that the flat one may have a very slow leak, but sometimes if they are a bit low when the cold comes they just go flat from the cold. He was a bit more science~y then that, but it was early and I hadn’t had my coffee yet. I grabbed my purse, and he said “Not a word, get in your car and go away.” I really love Pete.

So I grabbed some gas at Pete’s gas station, and off to Daisy leadership training I went. I got a bit lost on the way, but got there just in time.I finally got home at 1:30. I had just enough time to eat lunch, empty out the dishwasher, and get a load of laundry going before I had to get the girls. Then there was homework, and before I knew it, it was after 4 already. By the time I post this it will be time to start dinner.

So that was my crazy day today. Daisy training was fun. I can’t wait to get the troupe going! Maybe after dinner I’ll get some of the Etsy stuff done.
