Well, this was an interesting weekend full of good and bad.
Good ~ I got out and did all the shopping for the Super Bowl Party.
Bad ~ Two days later half the people coming canceled, so now I have too much food of the variety that I do not like to have in the house.
Good/Bad ~ This being the second year this has happened I will not be having any more Super Bowl parties
Good ~ I got a commission for a baby blanket, and even had a chance to go buy the yarn and get started.
This is the little picture of the pattern.
Here is what I have so far. ~ the stems aren’t sewn down yet, and the green is much nicer then that. I just took a quick shot and the color seems to have been dulled a bit.
Good/Bad ~ After taxes we may trade in Doug’s car for an SUV ~ but it would most likely have to be used in order to fit in our budget at the moment. His car is really starting to make me nervous, and I would rather not have to take two cars on our vacation in the summer any more.
Good ~ Speaking of that vacation…
We take the same one every summer. We go to Pennsic, a two week long medieval camping event. My mother started coming along a year before the girls were born, and my father started coming a year after. Though my dad tends to find other people to visit in the surrounding states for a few days here and there, camping isn’t as much his thing any more.
This year, my brother and his family will be joining us for a few days, also. So my whole family will be together for a bit. It will be great.
Bad ~ now I need Medieval garb for four more people by the end of July.
Good ~ Doug had a nice time at his event this weekend. It was a tournament he has gone to for many years. He has come in second quite a few times, but never won. This time he won!!
So there you have it. More Good than bad.
I hope you all had lovely weekends, filled with lots o’ good!!!
