It’s time for the unveiling of the May Orange Art Box projects by Kyla and Vada. There are lots of bitty birdies and bright colors this month. The girls had fun and we now have some great paint and brushes added to our stash.
The product reviewed in this post was provided by Orange Art Box. All opinions are my own.
Before we get into the fun creating with the May box, here is the video of the twins unboxing all the fun!
Now I know I shared THIS black and white picture with you over on my Instagram page a few days ago as a teaser. I told you if you came here today I’d show you all the colors, so here it is.
We looked at some inspiration ideas from Orange Art Box, which can be found at the various OAB links at the end of this post. Then the girls started creating.
I love the paint and brushes included this month. There was plenty of each color so they weren’t limited because colors were running out. That’s always such a bummer. Even with all the painting this month, we still have plenty left over!
All the bits and pieces that were provided were sturdy and of good quality. The finished creations should last quite some time. Even the cardboard tubes felt pretty sturdy, which surprised me.
The googly eyes were so awesome. They weren’t just different sizes, there were also some with eyelashes, and even a winking one. Kyla had a good time with them and made one of her birds a cyclops!
The girls enjoyed coming up with designs for each of the crafts. They grabbed some scrap paper and pencils and even sketched out ideas ahead of time. These two take their crafts very seriously!
Kyla always had to spread the love. She painted one egg orange and used a marker to write “I ♥ Orange Art Box” on it. She’s such a love bug!
See, they all have different eyes! Aren’t the little lids with eyelashes on the birdie on the right just the best? It’s those little details that bring Orange Art Box up a step.
OK, can we all take a moment to admire my photo skills? I mean really, go back to the beginning of this blog (over a decade ago) and see how much I’ve improved. Of course, the day after I took these photos, ALL the flowers were in bloom. I didn’t yell at them about their timing. Not at all.
Here are all your OAB links. Remember you can order for 1, 2, 3, 6, or 12 months, and you can do so as a subscription or as a gift.
