It’s time for those pretty diamonds!! This week we will continue working the hats up to the decrease section, which is marked in both the knit and crochet versions. Melody was super kind to create a knit video and crochet video for the diamond section of this pattern! The videos are at the bottom of the pattern post.
Crochet
Notes: There is a video showing the FPTRC2tog st, however, there are no written instructions for this st. I asked Melody and she said it would be fine if I wrote the instructions for the st. I still recommend that you watch the video first for clarification, and then use the written instruction as you go along if needed.
FPTRC2tog: Yo twice, insert hook from front to back and then to front again around indicated st, yo, pull through (4 loops on hook), [yo, pull through 2 loops] 2 times (2 loops on hook), yo, insert hook from front to back and then to front again around next indicated st, yo, pull through (4 loops on hook), [yo, pull through 2 loops] 3 times.
Knit
Notes: The diamonds on this hat are made without the use of a cable needle, it’s really a fun way to do them! As I mentioned above, there’s a video to help with this bit.
