Tuesday and Thursday of last week were parent/teacher conferences at the girls’ school. This meant half days of school and lots more time at home.
Being creative little ones, they decided craft time was in order.
I was working away on some new finished crochet items for my Etsy store, and the girls made several dolls. Kyla made Ariel.
She also made Rapunzel and Cinderella. Now before you tell me how cheep Disney Princess Barbies are, the girls have a few. They just wanted to make more, I guess.
Vada made a cat.
Later, Vada got attacked by her blanket.
There was quite the wrestling match between the two of them.
I’m not sure who won.
On the way home from walking the girls to school this morning, I saw these little guys sitting in a box lid on top of a pile of bags at a curb to be picked up with the garbage. Considering they were perfectly clean and perfectly unscathed, I picked them up.
Not sure what I will do with them, but I figure at least they may come in handy for crafts for the girls. I’m sure I could give them some paint and brushes and a good time would be had! Though who knows, I may come up with some other fun use for them.
I have been making a few finished crochet projects for my Etsy store. I want to have about half a dozen of them done before I list them, so for now you will have to settle with sneak peaks!
The first few are rainbow colors. So bright and pretty.
There is something about rainbows with black that I really like.
The current piece is made of these pretty colors. It feels like spring using them!
I also plan on organizing my Etsy store a bit in the next week or two. Starting in December, a friend of mine will be having art sales the first and third Sunday of the month. She has invited me to sell, and I want to be organized before then. I will share all the details with you when I have them, so those of you who are local~types can come visit.
