Who doesn’t love something soft and squishy under their feet? Crochet rugs are just that and more. You can make them whatever size and shape you want. You can choose colors to suit your decor. You can make them from washable yarn. You can even sew some rug grip on the bottom to make them non-stick. Here are seven free crochet patterns for rugs to get you started on creating a squishy floor!

Here are the names and links of each pattern.

1) Bee’s Knees Rug by Tamara Kelly
“This free crochet area rug pattern is the bee’s knees! The Bee’s Knees Crochet Rug features granny hexagons all put together with a pretty edging, in super cushy yarn for that bold, boho chic look that’s always hot!”

2) T – Shirt Yarn Round Rug by Meladora’s Creation
“This Free Crochet pattern teaches how to crochet a rug using T shirt yarn. It also teaches you what to look for and how to make adjustments if you want to make the rug bigger.”

3) Soothing Pebbles Rug by Pattern Paradise
“Some time ago I was looking for a small bath mat but couldn’t find anything that fit my mental image of what it needed to look like, so I decided to crochet one!”

4) Plush Pom Bath Mat by Blackstone Designs
“This bath mat would also make a great bedside rug! It’s very plush, soft, and squishy. It’s a dream on the toes!!”

5) Midnight Star Mandala Rug by The Lavender Chair
This mandala-esque rug is full of fun stitch patterns.

6) Mellow Yellow Rug by Jessie At Home
“Many years ago I was in need of a rug at the foot of my sink, so I crocheted one. I love that rug! I’ve been meaning to write the pattern down, and now I finally have.”

7) Crafty Boho Rug by A Crafty Concept
“The Crafty Boho Rug is made using three strands of yarn simultaneously, making it chunky and durable. The round design is super trendy right now and it’s great because you can easily adjust the pattern to make a rug size that’s perfect for your space.”
