The Origami Frog Base is the start of various Origami Patterns. You will find the written and pictorial pattern for the Frog Base below.
Origami has been one of my hobbies since I was 8 years old. Many Origami Patterns start with an Origami Base: a folded form that starts a piece. This is one such base. You can find more Origami Base Tutorials for here: https://jessieathome.com/category/crafts/origami/origami-base/
Be sure to crease well after each fold.
Step 1: To begin the Frog Base, start with the Square Base, with the opening at the bottom.
Step 2: Fold both of the top sides in to the center.
Step 3: Turn over and repeat Step 2.
Step 4: Unfold last step. Flip one side up and squash fold the flap open.
Step 5: Squash fold 3 remaining flaps.
Step 6: Fold both bottom sides in to center, then unfold.
Step 7: Fold top point to bottom point, then unfold.
Step 8: Pull up lower horizontal flap and squash fold along fold lines made in Steps 6 & 7.
Step 9: Turn over and repeat Step 8, then open up two remaining sides and repeat Step 8 on both side. The Frog Base is now done.
