Pom poms and tassels are really big right now! (big…lol…I’m funny)

Really though, oversized everything seems to be the thing of the moment, and that includes pom poms and tassels of all shapes and sizes, though bigger does seem to be better. It’s all part of the BOHO fashion movement, and I have to say, I love it! So, I’ve found some fun free patterns full of pom poms and tassels for you.

If you need a hand making some tassels, I LOVE this tool, or you can see this post on making pom poms with a piece of cardboard. I also have a tutorial on making tassels that you can find here.

Pom Pom & Tassel free crochet pattern round up from Jessie At HomePin

Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little bit about each.

1) Warm Hug Hat by Jessie At Home
“I love hats that keep my whole head warm, even my ears, and don’t leave a space between the hat and the scarf.”

2) Crochet Christmas baby pixie hat by Maz Kwok’s Designs
“This crochet Christmas baby pixie hat is a free size pattern, with holiday colors and a cute pom pom on top, it would be a great photo prop.”

3) Chocolate Strawberries Beanie by Kim Guzman
Kim can do some amazing things with chevrons, and she tops this one with a pom pom!

4) Philomena Shawlette by Fiber Flux
“The Philomena Shawlette is perfect for this time of year when you need a little something to wrap around you. An elegant wrap with a lacy drape, this shawlette is perfect for dress or casual days alike. Optional tassels finish it beautifully.”

5) Bundle of Joy hat and cocoon set by From Grammy’s Heart
“This adorable pattern set is dedicated to my friend, Sheri. She will be a first time Grammy this year!”

6) Adult Bobble Hat & Scarf set by Patterns For Crochet
There’s something nostalgic and warm about a gathered-top hat with a big pom pom on top! I really enjoy the border trim used on this set as well.

7) Cathedral Convertible Cowl by Cre8tion Crochet
“This convertible cowl pattern can be worn so many different ways. I love the detail the front post stitches give, especially mixed with the shell stitches.”

8) Cable Stitch Square hat with Pom Poms by Posh Pooch Designs
“Although this hat looks hard, it is really quite easy. I took some pictures to help you with the cable section. Once you see how it is done, I think you will think it is easy, also.”

9) Owl Baby Booties by Hopeful Honey
The pom poms on these adorable booties make them stand out from all the other owls out there in such a fun way!!
