Look at what’s available at Premeir Yarns now and at A.C. Moore stores starting this weekend! Premier Sweet Rolls are awesome long stripe yarn cakes!! They are 100% Acrylic, so they wash great. I was lucky enough to get my hands on 2 cakes of these lovelies ahead of the release so I could share my thoughts with you. I made a complete scarf with just one cake. (keep reading to the end of this post for a surprise)

The color changes are nice and long, they each went about 1 1/3 rows of my long scarf! Here’s a bit of what premier has to say about the color changes:

“Premier Yarns Sweet Roll combines 3 colors in each ball.
The yarn is designed to create wide stripes in a regular repeat, providing all the excitement of working with multiple colors, without the tedium of weaving in all those ends.
Each ball contains 2 complete repeats of the stripe pattern, making the transition from one ball to the next easy.”

I really do love the long color changes without having to change colors myself. I want to get more of this yarn and make something fun like a poncho. The hardest part would be choosing a color, take a look at them all!

  1. I get emails from Premier and have been looking at this for three days now. I want the grape swirl and the silver swirl so bad and your surprise discount just tipped the scales for me. I HAVE TO HAVE IT!

  3. Jessie, thanks for the review I’ve been looking for one! Your scarf is lovely! A couple questions, was it a gradual color change and not an abrupt color change like the Caron Cakes? And was the yarn easy to work with, I had a hard time with the Caron Cakes as it was constantly splitting on me.
    Thanks for your time ?

  4. Is this sweet roll yarn super soft like for a newborn baby blanket? Or is it more of a general medium soft yarn?
