This summer we had to re-stain the deck, so we decided to try Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck stain. The results are beautiful.

You can find Shewin-Williams SuperDeck online HERE, but we went into our local store to check out all the options. There were many shades to choose from; we went with SW 3507 Riverwood: a deep reddish brown. We also had to choose which type of stain to use, and we choose the waterborn semi-transparent. There was a great pamphlet at the store that explained all the differences in the stains and we weighed them out and chose what we thought worked best for our purposes.

All the supplies needed for our project were in the store, and the employees were very knowledgeable. The stain was easy to apply. It went on smoothly and left a nice, even coat. There were no streaks or spots.

Staining the Deck - so many types of stainPin

it rained a few days after the deck was stained and all the water beaded up. We are very happy with the results of this stain and our wonderful deck that we worked so hard to build looks amazing and is well protected.

I would highly recommend Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck to anyone in need of a deck stain. Check the different types and find the one that works best for your needs. You are sure to find a color you love as well. It has only been a few weeks since the deck was stained, so I can’t speak to the longevity of it yet, but based on other reviews and the strong reputation of Sherwin-Williams products, I am confident this stain will protect my deck in the long run as well.
