I have just way too many adorable pictures of the girls from the past month or two, so I thought I would share them with you. If nothing else, it will make my parents happy.
We love to walk in the park down the street. Here’s the girls sitting at the entrance.
We were at a medieval fair last month. Vada decided she needed to make a leaf bouquet. Isn’t it cute?
Eventually she got bored and dropped it.
At the same event our friend Nico was knighted. I was very happy, and my Mommy will be so excited when I tell her. I’ve been remiss in telling her the few times we’ve talked lately. I need to get better at checking skype when it is still daytime in Japan.
Here are more cute kiddies in the kid corral at the event.
Doug decided to take a picture when I had all the veggies out from a trip to the produce store. It is kind of pretty. I seem to have made a bad lime choice, though.
Ooo…these are my yummy apple popovers. Want the recipe? Here it is, have fun! If you are wondering, evaporated cane syrup is also called cane sugar, and can be replaced with regular sugar.
Another snap by Doug. We had gone for a walk in the park, and the girls and I collected some pretties. When we got home, we put them all in a sweet little crystal bowl that was our very first engagement present from a very sweet teacher at the school were I was working at the time.
Doug and the girls having a Dino convention. The dialogue was highly amusing. I believe they were planning on taking over the world.
The benefit of natural cleaning products. The girls love to help Mommy clean.
A couple Sundays ago Doug decided to take Kyla with him to the laundry mat. Vada and I thought some baking was in order. We started with some cookies ~ yes, we cheated and used a package mix, but I got it for 50 cents, so it was cheaper then homemade.
When we moved onto the popovers, Vada was concerned about getting flour on her pretty dress, so we aproned up. I made this apron Freshman year of undergrad.
Mixing the dry ingredients for the popovers.
Making sure the mixer works just right.
Of course we have to take a moment for quality control.
The moment Doug and Kyla walked in the door Vada handed them both a cookie and proudly announced that she had made them.
Um, the last 3 snaps aren’t working right now. Blogger is playing with their image uploads today, so I will try again when they are done.
Cool, got them to work. Don’t you love Vada’s hair?
