Hello my friends! I have a fun review and giveaway for you today!!
I’ve mentioned the Yarnit before, but now I want to let you know more about it and about how awesome it is. The Yarnit is a project globe ~ it’s a sphere made of the same practically unbreakable material that is used in eye glasses, and race car and hurricane windows. It twists open around the horizontal hemisphere so you can place your yarn inside. There are a few smooth holes for the ends of your yarn. The holes are open when you open the Yarnit, meaning you don’t have to thread the yarn through the holes, you just place the yarn in the hole and then twist the top half back on. There are 2 slits at the top where you can store your hooks and needles. It’s really quite ingenious!
Something I truly love about the Yarnit is it’s inventor, Kate. I met Kate in May, and she is a great lady. She’s very smart, fun, and has incredible business savvy. You can read about how the Yarnit came to be here. She had a need, and found a solution, which seems to be how the best inventions always come to be!
When you keep your yarn in your Yarnit, it not only keeps your yarn clean and safe, but it also keeps your yarn untangled and neat. You can even work from both ends of the yarn ball at the same time, but placing one end through 2 different holes. I’ve tried this and it works so well!!
Of course you can use your Yarnit at home, but it also makes traveling projects much easier. The stand of the Yarnit fits in a car or plane cup holder (I’ve tried both, and it works so well). There is a base that pops on around the stand and clings nicely to surfaces, so when you pull your yarn, you actually pull your yarn, not your Yarnit! You can also store your stitch markers, yarn needle, and small notions in the base.
I could go on and on for quite some time, but I need to stop at some point. 😉 So here’s a picture of my Yarnit in use to wrap up this post.
You can buy your Yarnit from the links in the first paragraph, or from Amazon, here. (there is usually a small inventory on Amazon, so if they are out, you will need to use the other links to get your Yarnit)
I also have a giveaway for you! You can will a fun ‘stashed Yarnit with a purple base that Kate gave me to pass on to one lucky reader!!
